Name
: Amy Horne
Role: Medical Writer
Location: London

About me: I did my first degree in Biomedical Science and then I went on to do a masters in Neuroscience however, I did not find the environment of the laboratory stimulating or satisfying so I was looking for an alternative career. After some internet research, I found a website that introduced me to the world of medical communications and the role of a Medical Writer. I have always loved writing and as a Medical Writer I could continue to be immersed in science whilst developing a new range of skills.

Why I chose Caudex: I was looking for new challenges and opportunities, which is why I joined Caudex. Caudex offered me the chance to work on a variety different projects in therapy areas that genuinely interested me. Since joining I have found every single member of Caudex to be nothing short of brilliant. Everyone has a passion for their job and a refreshing enthusiasm for helping their team develop and thrive.

Piece of advice to recruits: Don’t be afraid to talk about a number of your interests at your interview. Although the job is focussed on science don’t feel like it’s all you can talk about!

Fun Fact: I recently took up tap dancing together with a few family members. We are planning a secret routine for an upcoming celebration!
